Katie started playing volleyball when she was in the 3rd grade and started participating in CYO volleyball. Her love for the sport grew while playing in a variety of leagues. She grew up playing all different positions and at one point or another she played everything other than libero. In high school, she was a right side hitter for Brownsburg High School.
She attended Indiana University and participated in intramurals and attended many volleyball games while there. She received her degree in elementary and special education. She is currently a 3rd grade teacher at Bridgeport Elementary in Wayne Township. She has coached CYO volleyball the last two years and this is her first season coaching club.
