JP is entering his fifth season with the boys program and this year moving to the 16s age group. 

JP is now in his eighth year of coaching boys volleyball, having started as the Junior Varsity Head Coach at Hamilton Southeastern (Fishers, Ind.). In 2016, he was the Varsity Assistant at Guerin Catholic (Noblesville, Ind.), where he helped Head Coach Andrew Fuller start a program that became the first-ever first-year program to make it to the IBVCA Regional Finals. In 2019, JP returned to Hamilton Southeastern as Varsity Assistant.

On the club side, JP was the 17-1’s Head Coach at Indy Assault Volleyball Club from 2016-2018.

JP started playing volleyball his sophomore year at Hamilton Southeastern. He was a three-year starter and two-time captain as an outside hitter. His senior season, he helped lead the Royals to the IBVCA State Finals, earning Academic All-State and All-Star honors along the way. Throughout his career, he also received the Mental Attitude Award three times and Best Server Award twice.

JP attended Purdue University and played on their men’s club team for five years. Each of his last three seasons, the Boilermakers finished inside the top 10. Also while at Purdue, JP was a manager for Dave Shondell and Purdue’s women’s team (NCAA Div. I).
