Tak Arakawa has been with The Academy VBC since its creation in 2014 and has more than 15 years of coaching experience. He has coached numerous Elite, Regional, and Non-Travel teams, most recently leading teams in ages 13 – 15.
Growing up in Kanazawa, Japan, Tak began playing volleyball in the 7th grade. He was a setter and opposite in high school, but then went on to play middle at Nanzan University in Nagoya, Japan.
Tak then moved to the United States and earned his MBA from Colorado State University. While there, he competed in adult tournaments in USAV’s Rocky Mountain Region.
Tak is now a worldwide account manager for a global logistics company has three children.
