Coach Bowerman is entering his first season with The Academy Volleyball Club.
Ryan Bowerman is the head men’s volleyball coach at Wabash College in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Bowerman is also a 2011 graduate of Wabash where he played on the volleyball club team and served as the student president of the club during all four years. He returned to Wabash as a coach in 2020 for the team’s first season as an NCAA varsity sport.
Prior to Wabash, Bowerman served as the assistant volleyball coach at Xavier University of Louisiana for two seasons. He was named the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) NAIA Southeast Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2019 after helping the Gold Nuggets’ team advance to the NAIA national championship site for the first time in school history. He also worked as the assistant volleyball coach at IU Kokomo for two seasons while earning his master’s degree. The Cougars posted a record of 53-19 in two seasons with Bowerman as an assistant coach.
Bowerman began his coaching career as the varsity assistant volleyball coach at North Montgomery High School for five seasons, and also served as a head coach for the Indy Juniors Volleyball Club in Zionsville, Indiana, for six seasons.
Bowerman earned his bachelor’s degree from Wabash College as a mathematics major and Spanish minor in 2011. He received a Master Degree in Liberal Studies from Indiana University Kokomo in 2016.
