Michael is the Director of Events at The Academy Volleyball Club where he oversees facilities, tournaments, and operations.
Prior to arriving at The Academy, Michael was the Director at Lexington United Volleyball. Before becoming the director, he served at the Operations and Youth Director for LUV. He was also the Owner and Director of Alpha Performance Volleyball Club and has held leadership roles at Georgetown Force.
He has previously coached at Transylvania University, and Bellarmine University where he led both setting and blocking positional practice along with practice planning and recruiting. Along with coaching collegiately, he has experience coaching high school, middle school and running the youth and Parks and Rec programs in central Kentucky. He coached at Lafayette High School, Scott County High School E.J. Hayes Middle School and spent two years coaching for PAL Swat.
Michael played for the University of Kentucky Men’s Club Team and Coached the Women’s Club Volleyball to a 3rd Place finish in the NCVF National Championship.
He is originally from New Palestine and is a graduate of Bishop Chatard High School in Indianapolis.
