This is Katie Champion’s eighth year coaching club volleyball and her second year at The Academy Indianapolis, but first with the boys. She has coached club for the past two seasons at Boiler Juniors. She was the Varsity Head Coach at West Lafayette (Ind.) High School from 2019-2020 and also previously coached high school for two years in Colorado. She currently serves as the Varsity Assistant for Shelbyville High School.
Katie played at Logansport (Ind.) High School before going on to play at the University of Northern Colorado (NCAA Div. I).
Katie is an elementary school teacher in the Franklin Township Corporation. She has two rescue dogs, Gump and Kessie. In her spare time, she enjoys being an aunt to her five nieces and nephews.
