Katie first learned how to play volleyball when she was in 7th grade and it has been apart of her live ever since. In high school, she was a middle and right side for Lawrence North School. She played club for Indiana Volleyball Academy and Team Indiana.
She attended Indiana University where she participated in intramurals and coached for Hoosierland Volleyball Academy. During her time at IU, she received her degree in psychology with a minor in business. She currently works as an Employee Relations Coordinator for Knowledge Services in Indianapolis.
