Fayssal Hamoum is back for another season at The Academy Volleyball Club after spending a few years coaching in Algeria. While overseas, he coached different ages for his team at CRBC Chlef. Along with his time at CRBC, Fayssal coached the Algerian U19 National Team. This year will be his first season as a head coach where he will lead the 16 Adidas.
Prior to coaching, Fayssal’s career included 15 years of playing experience at the amateur and professional levels. At the age of 17, he received honors of First Team recognition in the Super Division.
Fayssal has a degree in sports education as well as a level 1 and level 2 international coaching degrees from FIVB. In 2021, Fayssal was the Assistant Coach for the 16 Adidas program where he led them to a top ten national ranking throughout the entirety of the season as well as leading them to six championship matches, eight gold bracket appearances/top five finishes, and three tournament championships as well as a 2021 Open Bid to the USAV Boys Junior National Championships in Kansas City, MO.
