This is Dave Barr’s tenth season coaching club volleyball and his sixth one with The Academy.
For the past seven years, Dave has been coaching volleyball at New Castle Middle School, which he has led to the state middle school championship finals since it was started in 2014: 7th grade champions (2014), 8th grade runner-up (2015), 8th grade champions (2016).
Dave graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in 1995 and, after residency and a sports medicine fellowship, has been a practicing family medicine doctor in New Castle since 1999. He is husband to Jennifer and the proud father of three wonderful daughters, Courtney, Ashton and Tristan.
