Dalen Instenes will be returning the Academy Volleyball Club as an Assistant Coach with our 18 Adidas Team. Dalen has previously worked many of our boys development camps along with assisting our 17 Adidas and 13 Adidas prior to joining the full time coaching staff.
Adding to Dalen’s coaching career, he was an Assistant Coach with Carthage Men’s Volleyball in 2021. Dalen helped bring Carthage to win their first National Championship and go 23-0 on the season.
Prior to Dalen’s coaching career he played volleyball for Lewis University. Dalen served many roles for Lewis working his was up to a starter and team captain. Throughout his career at Lewis they were ranked in the top 10 all 5 years, making a Final Four appearance in 2019.
After graduating from Lewis, Dalen signed to play professional volleyball in Sweden where he was a member of Floby VK. Dalen finished the season as the #2 outside overall in the league along with top ranked finishes in total aces and kills. Dalen helped lead his team to a bronze medal finish for the clubs first time in 20 years.
Dalen is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and now resides on the south side with his wife Haley.
