Nate Torvik
Head Coach, 18 Open Rage
Nate Torvik is a new addition to The Academy coaching family with nearly 20 years of experience developing volleyball in the greater Indianapolis area. He’s passionate about helping athletes grow both physically and mentally, embodying a “person over player” philosophy that focuses on holistic development and community impact.
Off the court, Nate is the Sr. Lifecycle Marketing Manager at WIN Reality, a VR baseball training company, and has worked in digital marketing since 2010. A Purdue University graduate with a degree in Mass Communications, he previously worked at Finish Line before returning to Indianapolis.
Originally from Greenfield, IN, and a Cathedral High School alum (Class of 2005), Nate now lives in Fishers with his wife, Angie, their dog, Pete, and cat, Ruth. A lifelong athlete, he played collegiate ultimate frisbee at Purdue and continues to stay active, pushing himself—and his players—to reach their full potential.
